Best Answer: If you have an AV cable for your N64, you can use a device I use called the 'ION VCR 2 PC', which is a VCR that can record VHS tapes and anything that's plugged into the AV cables at the front to your PC. It's a little expensive, but the quality is really good, although it doesn't record HD, but since it's an N64.
I have tried many times to record game play on Project64, the Nintendo 64 emulator, and have no luck. I have used the programs listed.1. Hypercam 2 - I have issues with this program because the sound is off and only 30 seconds of the video is even recorded when the time frame for any video I record is clearly 5 minutes or better.2. FRAPS - I have used FRAPS and it works fine, except for the fact that the files are HUGE! I recorded about 10 minutes of video and it already racked up nearly 3 GB of space.
To make things worse I try to compress the video and it is uncompressable.3. Taksi - This is just another version of FRAPS but it doesn't record sound. The files are still very big.4. ZDSoft Game/Screen Recorder - I get nothing than a blank screen whenever I use this program. The sound works fine but no video to show for it.Does anyone know any other program I can use to record Nintendo 64 games? Is there a Nintendo 64 emulator that has the record function?
